Kia ora rally whānau,

After an awesome start to the Hawkeswood Mining North Island Rally Series 2025 at Ruarangi Road, we’re already thinking ahead to make the 2026 NIRS season even better!

That means more full rally events and not needing rallysprints to prop up the calendar.

One exciting event in the pipeline is the Rallydrive NZ Maramarua Forest Rally, pencilled in for 13 June 2026 (yep, that’s next year!). Being a mid-winter event, daylight hours are short and there’s been talk about running some stages in the dark.
