The North Island Rally Series Returns to Ruapehu after 26 years!
The Taumarunui Rally (Round 4) on 8 August 2026 offers drivers 130kms of Special Stages, blasting around classic King Country public gravel roads last used in 1999 as a NZ Rally Championship round!
Organised by the Marathon Car Club, after a hiatus of 26 years the Hawkeswood Mining North Island Rally Series is able to return to these incredible gravel roads. Up to 140kms of Ruapehu District’s finest special stages, and based in the Taumarunui township with a strong focus on supporting the local community. National and Clubman’s permits with safety notes available to purchase for National competitors from Rally Notes NZ.
